Solar Panel System Style Consultation

Imagine standing on your roofing system on a crisp Montgomery County Pennsylvania morning, sunshine spilling over the horizon, and questioning, " How can I catch this energy most effectively?" That's where a photovoltaic panel system style assessment transforms from a mundane visit into an essential moment of discovery. It's not simply about slapping panels on a roofing system; it has to do with crafting a tailored energy option that dances with your home's unique characteristics.

The Art and Science of Tailored Solar Designs

Every home in Montgomery County Pennsylvania is a solar story waiting to be informed. The consultation dives deep into factors like:

  • Roofing orientation and pitch-- Is your roofing a sun magnet or a shadow haven?
  • Shading patterns-- Trees or neighboring structures may play spoiler.
  • Energy consumption practices-- Night owl or early riser, your use shapes the system.
  • Future expansion possibilities-- Preparation for tomorrow's power requires today.
BLRI recently had Lumina install solar panels at my residence . I want to thank Gabriel Shabtai and the team at Lumina for an excellent experience and professional job. Gabriel was attentive and helpful throughout the process. We had a tight deadline and they met it. All the staff including installers and office personnel were highly professional and proficient. I highly recommend anyone interested in having solar installed to reach to the Lumina team--you can do no better.Review of Lumina Solar PA in Montgomery County Pennsylvania by BLR
Matthew CawthorneI was really excited with the idea of getting a rooftop PV system, and Lumina had really good reviews. Their price was nearly identical to another very highly rated company in my area and I liked the look of the REC panels so we went with Lumina. During the initial sizing I proposed a symmetric configuration that was pleasing to the eye and was told 'we can discuss the exact configuration during the engineering phase'. Well, I was never contacted until all of the approvals were complete and at that point it was too late to get the configuration that I wanted. The Lumina configuration was unsymmetric and had 1 fewer panel on the highly productive south facing roof. It was not the end of the world, but I take pride in the aesthetics of my house. In the end I was able to get them to make it symmetric, but with the one less panel in the good orientation. The biggest problem, however is that the panels on the front of the house are in a nearly ideal orientation, facing almost south, and with a roof pitch that is good for this latitude. The 400+ watt panels are oriented well enough that they should be able to generate close to 400 watts during the middle of the day (cloud cover permitting). Lumina specified and installed 300 watt inverters so those panels never produce more than 300 watts. Instead of a sine wave for production I get a curve that is clipped flat on top. 300 watt inverters are ok for the back of the house where the sun angles are not as ideal and the panels cannot produce as much power, but not for the front. So why am I giving them 4 stars? Well, their Operations department that scheduled and performed the installation did a really good job and were a delight to work with. The workmanship is really good and everything has been functioning for the first 16 months of operation. There were no surprises in the pricing.Review of Lumina Solar PA in Montgomery County Pennsylvania by Matthew Cawthorne
Mark ChoiI shopped around and found Lumina Solar to be very knowledgeable, professional and courteous. They use high end REC panels and state of the art Enphase micro inverters. The price was competitive and the installation went smoothly. When one panel later malfunctioned, they corrected the problem promptly, all covered by warranty. I highly recommend Lumina Solar.Review of Lumina Solar PA in Montgomery County Pennsylvania by Mark Choi
Allan CreamerWe have a solar installation that was installed by Sunrun about 8 years ago. We are now faced with replacing our roof and needed to have the panels and hardware temporarily removed. Lumina solar, as Sunrun's subcontractor, did the removal in a single day, despite a few hick-ups along the way. We had a two-man crew...Isaiah and Charlie! They conducted themselves with professionalism, and were very knowledgeable about their task. Isaiah was in frequent contact with progress reports and the property was cleaned up when they left. We were pleased with their work and hope they will the crew that comes back out to reinstall the system once the roof work is completed.Review of Lumina Solar PA in Montgomery County Pennsylvania by Allan Creamer
Chad SAfter meeting with a number of solar providers over the years, the timing and circumstances were right for me to put my trust in Lumina Solar. Peter Hayes was our consultant and provided a clear, easy to understand proposal. The projection software empolyed by Lumina is informative allowed us to make a decision based on multiple levels of data. Peter employs a low pressure approach and was willing to make sure all of our questions and concerns were addressed throughout the entire process. He took extra steps and allowed us to see real time production data of actual Lumina systems in our area. The comparison of the actual production statistics to their pre-project projections provided an extra layer of confidence to go solar. The install team was prompt, professional and took extra care with the alignment of the panels and aesthetics of the electrical system. We are over our one year mark with Lumina and our system has produced as predicted, even better! If you are considering solar, consider Lumina!Review of Lumina Solar PA in Montgomery County Pennsylvania by Chad S
matthew weitzelLumina Solar does an awesome job. They give a great presentation and keep you informed of all the steps along the way. The installers were very professional. The install was flawless and was completed very quickly. I'm an electrician by trade, and the electrical equipment install was beautiful, could have not done better myself. Highly recommend Lumina Solar.Review of Lumina Solar PA in Montgomery County Pennsylvania by matthew weitzel
Mir MetzI reached out to local south-central Pennsylvania representative, Courtney Sollenberger to get our solar panels repaired. The company we had previously used to install them no longer works in solar, so I didn’t know where else to turn. The entire Lumina crew took very good care of us. They were knowledgeable, courteous, and prompt. I would highly recommend reaching out for all your solar needs.Review of Lumina Solar PA in Montgomery County Pennsylvania by Mir Metz
Arnaldo BertolaLumina Solar provided us with fast, detailed, immediately understandable information about installing a solar panel plant on our roof and in our home. A huge thank you to Sufi, our sales representative, who went out of his way to understand our needs, navigated the design and estimating software in real time and with great skill, and helped us grasp the implications of fairly dry technical details without breaking stride. Great technology - prob the best on the market today - and a total install solution to match. Great company, highly recommended.Review of Lumina Solar PA in Montgomery County Pennsylvania by Arnaldo Bertola
Christopher AdamsHad a great experience with lumina. They were professional and informative from the start. Ask for Jack. Answered all my questions. Even late at night and off hours. Even with a new baby on the way. Install team from MD and PA was just as great very informative and even finish the install a day early.Review of Lumina Solar PA in Montgomery County Pennsylvania by Christopher Adams
